Members of the National Bar Association are entitled to an assortment of discount programs and other benefits to enhance their careers and the legal profession. They have access to our national network of approximately 66,000 lawyers, judges, law professors, and law students. We offer various membership types based on your current professional status and your commitment to supporting the objectives of the National Bar Association.

Licensed to practice law in any state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia.

Graduated from an accredited law school in any state or territory of the United States, the District of Columbia, or any other country.

Law Student and Pre-Law Membership

Matriculating at any accredited law school of any state or territory of the United States, the District of Columbia, or any other country.

Auxiliary Membership

Non-lawyer who is interested in law, e.g., paralegal, law firm administrator, law librarian, legal recruiter, diversity director.

Retired Membership

At least sixty-two (62) years of age, and fully retired from the practice of law.

Members have free access to our member discount program, where they save up to 60% on movie ticket, theme parks, car rental, hotels, resorts, museums, attractions and much more!

Advocacy

Members have the opportunity to join committees and task force initiatives to advance our legacy of service and promise of justice on a national and international platform. Our advocacy efforts are currently focused on voter protection, the underfunded federal judiciary, immigration reform, criminal justice and education.

National Network

Members gain access to our national network of regions, affiliate chapters, sections and divisions. We represent the interests of approximately 60,000 lawyers, judges, law professors and law students.The NBA is organized around 23 substantive law sections, 9 divisions, 12 regions and 80 affiliate chapters throughout the United States and around the world.
