Special topics in Mediation and Arbitration and Other Issues in Conflict Resolution.  The FMCS, a longtime supporter of the Section, has agreed to conduct this training. The training consists of two sessions, 2 hours each, with one session devoted to the fundamentals of arbitration and dealing with difficult advocates, and the second session dedicated to the fundamentals of mediation. It will include practice tips, ethical considerations, requirements for becoming an arbitrator or mediator, and tips for successful business development for those newly entering the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution

42ND Mid-Year Conference and Gertrude E. Rush Award Dinner

COVID-19 Guidelines: The health and safety of our members and guests are of the utmost importance to the National Bar Association. Given the impact of COVID-19 and global health recommendations regarding large, in-person gatherings, we have made the decision for every participant to provide proof of being fully vaccinated and provide proof of a negative test 72 hours prior to the start of the event. Every attendee will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival to the event certifying a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. We are following the prevention measures below: ? All participants must show proof of being FULLY VACCINATED and provide a Negative Test result. ? Mask will be required unless actively eating or drinking. ? Sanitizing stations will be prominently placed throughout the venue. ?
