Continuing Legal Education

As a value-added service to our members, the National Bar Association (NBA) will continue to offer continuing legal education through live seminars and online webinars. We invite all members to participate in these programs by attending and suggesting topics they may find useful. We are seeking your assistance in providing relevant topics and content to serve our growing and diverse membership. The NBA will provide the necessary platform to host seminars. for more information regarding CLEs, contact the NBA Director of Progams.

NBA Sections and Regions are constitutionally required to conduct CLE Seminars (which can include Webinars) each bar year. Hosts must submit a proposal for each seminar or webinar they wish to host, using the CLE proposal form below.

SECTIONS: Chapter VII, Section 4 of the NBA Bylaws states, “Each section shall conduct a minimum of two substantive seminars during the Association year”.  The NBA has twenty-three (23) substantive law sections.  See Chapter VII, Section 1 of the NBA Bylaws.
REGIONS: Chapter VI, Section 54 of the NBA Bylaws state, “each Region shall conduct at least one continuing legal education program within the Region during the Association year.”
Other NBA Entities Which May Recommend CLE Topics:
(1) the ad hoc committee
(2) the amicus brief ad hoc committee
(3) NBA members

DIVISIONS: NBA Divisions are not required to host seminars but are encouraged to do so.

NBA entities interested in hosting seminars must complete the following steps:

STEP 2 - ONCE YOU RECEIVE APPROVAL, EMAIL YOUR MATERIALS TO CLE@NATIONALBAR.ORG

Proposals are due by December 22, 2017.
