Job Summary

The Administrative Office (AO), an agency of the Judicial Branch of the Federal government, is committed to serving and supporting the Federal court system of the United States. The AO provides a broad range of legislative, legal, financial, technology, management, administrative and program support services to the Federal courts.

OPPORTUNITY:

The AO is seeking applicants for the Cooperative Education Program (Co-op). The opportunity is intended to provide valuable work experience for students interested in a public service career. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited J.D. (Juris Doctorate) program, and be in good academic standing. The student will have an opportunity to improve his or her writing, research, analytical, logical, multi-tasking, and customer-service skills. Major Duties:

The Office of Judges Programs, Office of the Assistant Director, seeks a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team. You will participate in the Federal Rulemaking process, which will afford you the rare opportunity to witness how the federal rules of practice, procedure, and evidence are promulgated. This will prove an invaluable "behind the scenes" perspective on how the federal rules of practice and procedure are formulated, as well working with the individuals responsible for such formulation. The General Counsel will be the University's principal lawyer and will be responsible for providing legal services to the University. The Position and Qualifications
